Six thousand persons each weekend, 70 restaurants open all year long, 1000 operators, 16 million Euros of yearly turnover: the catering industry in Cesenatico is one of the most important in the economy. The great abundance of fish in the Adriatic Sea, the ancient tradition of seafaring cuisine and the high professionalism of the restaurateurs is certainly the key to this success. Every year two important gastronomic events are organized: “Blue like fish” in spring and “Fish Festival” in autumn, in order to promote the image of Cesenatico as catering town and to enhance the organoleptic qualities of the blue fish, which has always been eaten on our tables. In the restaurants, in the “trattorie” and in the inns scattered in the quaint fishing quarter, or along the banks of the charming Canal Harbour designed by Leonardo da Vinci, is possible to taste the traditional fish dishes, strictly served with Romagna piada and good local wine.
